Inclusive PE for children with a visual impairment
Growing up with a love for sports, I understand how vital physical activity is for children’s confidence and development. My one-on-one PE sessions break down barriers, allowing visually impaired children to engage fully and joyfully in physical activities.
• Adapted activities that meet each child’s individual needs and abilities.
• An emphasis on creating an enjoyable, stress-free environment that promotes a lifelong love for physical activity.
• Guidance for teachers, families, and friends to create inclusive experiences, from the playground to organized sports.
• Vision impairment, sports-specific learning strategies, seldom taught in mandatory or introductory training.
Why it’s unique:
My experience as an athlete and coach, combined with my ability to reassure and inspire, ensures every child feels capable and valued. No child should ever be lead to believe that their disability is what prevents them from enjoying sport and physical activity.
